The Basics

Utility service territory where project is located Delmarva Power & Light
Who can participate? Residents and small businesses, including renters, who pay a Delmarva Power & Light electricity bill.
Cost 10% below the cost of Delmarva utility energy. No fees to enroll
Is this cheaper than what I pay now? Yes, it is 10% below the cost of Delmarva energy. If you get your energy supply from a third party supplier the savings may be more or less than 10%.
How much can I buy? Up to 100% of your total annual electricity usage
How often will I pay? Monthly
How long is the contract? Monthly pay-as-you-go subscription, up to 25 years. Nexamp requests 90 days notice should you move or otherwise need to cancel.
Will my cost for this energy go up over time? Possibly. The value is tied to the Delmarva rate for the life of the subscription and will remain 10% lower than that rate but if the Delmarva rate goes up so will your subscription rate.
Are there termination fees? No
Are there other fees? No
Will I own the panels? No. Nexamp owns and maintains the solar panels.
Will this energy be cheaper than grid energy in the future? Yes, Nexamp designed its subscription program with a 10% fixed discount to ensure you always save money, even if Delmarva rates increase or decrease in the future.

How do I cancel? Email: SolarizeSupport@nexamp.com or call 855-727-4636
Can I buy in small increments? Subscriptions are matched to meet your home’s electricity needs, but you can elect to cover less than 100% of your total annual usage if you want. There is no minimum allocation.
Is financing available for me? No, subscription is pay-as-you-go by the kWh
Does the system have a long-term maintenance contract? Nexamp is responsible for the long-term maintenance of the solar farm. You are not liable for maintenance.
Can I monitor the system? Yes, Nexamp offers a customer web portal for subscribers to view electricity production and see their savings.
What happens if the system stops working? Nexamp fixes the solar farm if something were to go wrong. Even if the solar farm produces less energy and you are not receiving (or paying for) credits, you will continue to receive electricity as usual from the Delmarva utility grid.
Is there a performance guarantee? Your credits will always reflect how much solar electricity is generated, and you won’t owe anything if you don’t receive credits. The discount on credits generated is part of the contract but there is no performance guarantee for the array.
How do I file a complaint if I need to? Email SolarizeSupport@nexamp.com or call 855-727-4636. If you are not satisfied with the resolution of the issue you may consider filing a complaint with the Public Service Commission or the Office of People’s Counsel.
