General description (provided by the organization): The Apollo Solar Farm project in Hanover MD can help you save while supporting clean energy and the growth of your local community. You will receive bill credits on your BGE utility bill for your share of the farm. Whether you rent or own, and live in a house or an apartment, this project lets you access savings without having to install any panels on your own property.  The solar farm will serve households throughout Maryland that pay a BGE electricity bill. The production of the Apollo project will be an estimated 2,510,000 kWh during the first year of operation.

How much can I buy? Up to 100% of your total annual electricity usage

Will my cost for this energy go up over time? The subscription price is variable so it may increase or decrease over time but your price will always be a 10% discount to the value of credits you receive.
Are there termination fees? Yes, $250 except with 90 days notice of desire to terminate

Will this energy be cheaper than grid energy in the future? Yes, if you use BG&E’s standard offer service. The discount rate is tied to the default electricity supply service from your utility. If you have chosen a third party electricity supplier your actual savings per kilowatt-hour may vary.

Can I stay subscribed and keep the benefits if I move? Yes, if you move within an eligible county in BG&E's service territory your contract can move with you. There is no additional fee associated with updating your service address.
Can I transfer it to someone else if I move? Yes, as long as they meet eligibility and credit requirements of a qualified customer. There is no fee to make this transfer.

Can I buy in small increments? Subscriptions sized based on your historical usage
Is financing available for me? No, but there are no upfront costs or payments.
Does the system have a long-term maintenance contract? Yes
Can I monitor the system? No, but your monthly community solar bill will include information about your farm's production.
What happens if the system stops working? CleanChoice Energy will notify you.
